Real-time Running Coach

Thanks to multiple sensors analysing real-time data, the Galaxy Watch Active2 can guide you with relevant coaching workout advice. The wrist-based, real-time Running Coach allows you to set a target and then prompts you to keep on track. There’s a range of pre-set pace programs for all fitness levels, to aid you to walk, jog or sprint your way to your next goal.

Pair up

For those who prefer to workout using gym exercise machines, the Galaxy Watch Active2 has the useful ability to connect directly with the latest gym equipment (please check with your gym regarding compatibility). Use the watch to activate your saved profile on your preferred apparatus – and finally leave your phone in your locker.

PowerShare / reverse charging

Most top-end smart phones are PowerShare / reverse charging enabled these days (meaning the phone itself can charge up other devices, such as wireless headphones or smart watches). Just place the Galaxy Watch Active2 on the back of your compatible phone to refuel if you ever require a cheeky top up when you’re out and about – and get ready to look out for some rather envious faces.

When you’re home, just lay the Galaxy Watch Active2 on the included magnetic wireless charger to return it to full power – handily, there are no charging jacks or wires required.

HR monitor

Now with eight photodiodes on its rear side that sit comfortably on your wrist – thanks to the watch’s updated curved design, Galaxy Watch Active2’s health monitoring will keep an eye on your heart rate (HR) and send you an alert when it goes above or below normal levels. Additionally, it can notify you if your stress levels are too high (the Galaxy Watch Active2 will recommend some breathing exercises to help).

Sleep well

Thanks to sleep monitoring technology, the Galaxy Watch Active2 is able to monitor your sleep and then provide a rundown of just how deeply you slept when you finally rise.

In the fast lane

As splash and water resistant as some new mobile phones might be, we wouldn’t advise anyone to go swimming with them at the moment (there’s a huge difference between gently submerging a device in pure water in the lab, and the chemicals, pressures and forces involved when swimming). Smart home help
Download Samsung’s SmartThings app, along with their Bixby virtual assistant and get set to control your compatible Smart devices directly from your wrist – either via a quick tap or with voice commands. Pair up your Galaxy Watch Active 2 to your mobile via Bluetooth, and in next no time your phone’s internet connection will be helping you feel like you’re starring in your own Sci-fi film.

What’s the difference between Bluetooth and 4G cellular?

Bluetooth connectivity

Some smart watches with Bluetooth, such as the Galaxy Watch Active2, can let you send and receive text messages, answer telephone calls and receive notifications when it’s connected to your (compatible) phone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Bluetooth + 4G Cellular

The Galaxy Watch Active2 4G has all the same great features as the above, as well as built-in cellular. It gives you the freedom to send and receive text messages, answer phone calls and even receive notifications when you don’t have your phone with you.

Cellular Carrier Support

Connecting your Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 4G Cellular to a cellular network requires the same carrier as your (compatible) phone.
