Like many of Phaxs designs this season it is history and tradition that informs their work. Chan Chan is not only named after the ancient ruined city in what is now Peru but the design is inspired by it too. The floral fans the geometric and intricate mandalas and the careful symmetry are all something you might find in ancient city built by the Mayans or a similiar civilisation. This brings a tradition that is hundreds or even thousands of years old and thrusts it into the world of today with a modern reworking and a minimalist colour scheme that makes it something truly special and truly timeless.
