Parfums de Marly revives the spirit of lavish receptions and celebrations held in the Chateau de Marly, for the delight of members of the Royal Court and foreign dignitaries. Through its original concept, Parfums de Marly rekindles the spirit of fragrances from the splendour of the 18th Century, when the finest perfumes were created for King Louis XV, as a tribute to the prestigious horse races he admired. A woody chypre scent, originally launched in 2009. The scent opens with top notes of cardamom, bergamot, amalfi lemon, tarragon, thyme and clary sage. It then continues with the heart notes of vetiver, patchouli, cedar, rose, jasmine and Iris. The scent finally settles on the base notes of musk, leather, vanilla and amber resin.
