This mirrorless camera comes with a 14-42mm Lens which is the perfect size for capturing both wide angle landscapes and close up portraits. 4K stills and frames
The resolution of 4K delivers four times the quality of a high-definition picture which achieves a much higher level of detail. Even if you view the 4K footage on a Full HD TV, the files will still display clear, sharp images.
Not only can you record in stunning, cinematic detail but you can also go back through your footage to select high quality 8 megapixel stills from your clips. Using the new 4K Photo function, you can capture those instant moments which only occur when you are already filming. And with three different modes – 4K BURST, 4K BURST (START & STOP) and 4K PRE-BURST – you’ll always be able to capture that perfect moment with friends and family.
Quick to focus
With Panasonic’s Depth From Defocus (DFD) Auto Focus (AF) technology, you’ll be able to capture even the fastest moving action. This great new tech instantly calculates the distance between the items inside the frame and drives the focus of the lens in one continuous movement. Creating AF speeds up to 0.07 seconds and burst shooting speed with AFC of 6 frames per second (fps), the new system can even increase the stability of continuous focusing when shooting.
AF Tracking is also possible which recognises the colour, size and motion of the subject. And with Low Light AF, you’ll be able to focus on subjects in low light situations with Starlight AF capturing stars in the night sky.
OLED viewfinder and tilt display
Complete with a high-resolution OLED Live View Finder, you’ll be able to see all your settings displayed - even under direct sunlight conditions. And a tilt/swivel touch-display will give you the creative freedom to capture unusual perspectives whilst maintaining full control.
Wireless creativity
With the Panasonic Image App, you’ll be able to control the DMC-G7 on your Smartphone or tablet device which will allow you to; view the image, set the focus, release the shutter, review photographs on the larger screen of your device or even share images on social networks. This is all made possible with built-in Wi-Fi.
And with Geotagging, the compact system camera will always know exactly where it is by using the GPS log/tag of your Smartphone or tablet.
