Description

If it wasn't obvious from their name already, Nudie Jeans are experts in denim. To quote founder Maria Erixon, "the more you wear and repair jeans, the more character they have. Denim is a living fabric that changes over time - and they are for everyone, of all ages and genders". With a focus on high quality and resistance, pieces from Nudie Jeans stay with you for a lifetime, and Jerry is no exception to their cause.

Distressed just enough to look like a pre-loved piece, it's only when it's treated to a dark and slightly warm wash Jerry shows its full potential. The denim fabrics coarse and open structure gives the piece a vintage feel and handle, with the twin needle felled seam construction helping create a beautiful contrast from dark to light, warmly tinted, indigo.

The Scandi streetwear brand haven't completely changed this classic though. A relaxed fit, two symmetrical chest pockets and a straight front yoke with a 'logo boy' emblem over the left pocket flap give the piece a familiar feel; one that'll look right at home when paired with slim black chinos and trainers of your choice, minimal or outlandish.

The People Behind The Jacket

Produced just north of Tunisian capital Tunis, Nudie Jeans ethical ethos doesn't just stop with responsibly sourcing materials; they're committed to creating a better working environment during manufacturing too.

Developing a manufacturing relationship with the Fares Confection Suarl sewing unit in Metline since Autumn 2016, the Swedish designer's presence has since instigated better conditions in the factory. Working closely with the Fair Wear Foundation, they've helped drive on-the-job skills for workers and engage management on social issues, namely staying true to Code of Labour Practices and helping communicate more effectively within their teams.

Since the latest audit in May 2019, the factory's strong social commitment has continued to grow, most recently creating an intern program to help younger people in the Metline area get work experience on the assembly line.
