It will also see you across a range of different terrain (hence the name!) thanks to the 2 sets - yes, that's 2 sets, of rear wheels that come with this buggy. The buggy is suitable from birth but only has a forward-facing mode, the addition of the included Carrycot Plus allows you to have a parent facing mode too.The carrycot is made up of one base and two fabric sets to give you three seating options: a lie-flat carrycot mode as you'd expect, an inclined mode that's perfect for newborns with reflux, and a parent facing seat with the switch of the fabric sets!Starting in carrycot mode, the comfortable aerated mattress compliments the ventilated base giving a relaxed and cosy place to lie while the feet not only assist natural airflow around the carrycot but mean the carrycot can be used for overnight sleeping too. In this mode, the Carrycot Plus is suitable for newborns up to 9kg (around 6 months old).Once they reach 6 months old you can transform the carrycot into a parent facing seat with the additional fabric set. This allows you to be face to face with your baby for longer, the seat is suitable for children up to 15kg (which is around 3 years old). Your little one can ride in comfort with the Oeko-Tex certified fabrics, with lots of ventilation to keep them cool in warmer weather and an additional winter insert for those colder days.The 16" air-filled rear tyres glide over any terrain while the 12" tyres are perfect for traversing urban streets. Both sets of wheels are air-filled and include drum brakes giving you the option of using the hand-operated brake on the handlebar. The 16" version tyres are a 'bias ply' construction with a steel band and nylon casing on an all-purpose tread to guarantee absolute traction. The single front wheel can be set in 1 of 3 different positions, lock back, lock front or swivel, as well as having adjustable tracking to accuracy too.The quick one-handed fold is so easy to use, it is a simple press and twist action. It also is 16cm smaller in size when folded than the previous model making it even more convenient to put it in your car or to store. Talking of storing the buggy, it's also free standing for convenience.The frame of the buggy is light at only 12.9kg making it super easy to push and with the clever engineering from the Mountain Buggy boffins, it has perfect weight distribution, making popping the front wheel up kerbs and the like effortless.Now we come to storage - the gear tray under the buggy can handle up to 10kg of 'stuff' that comes along with taking a little one out and about and not only features a cover held in place by a zip to keep everything safe while you are bouncing over that uneven terrain, there are also 2 pockets on the edge too for keeping important things, like baby wipes, to hand. The sun hood has quick access storage pockets for things like keys or your phone and even has a headphone outlet, perfect for when you are jogging along. Also included, are 2 water bottle holders for keeping you are your little one hydrated on the go. The 5-point safety harness is tail free with an adjustable crotch strap for comfort. Not only that, the seat itself has a long back and retractable leg extension to ensure your little one has a comfortable ride.
