The designers Thomas Chung and Jordan Murphy got their inspiration for the design of the Cast lamp series from traditional plumb bobs, which have been used by bricklayers and carpenters since ancient Egypt. The two designers, who are based in Toronto, Canada, value functional, honest design and share a keen interest in the history of objects, which is reflected in their designs.
