The Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon range has always been linked to extreme conditions, and none are more severe than NEDU. The Navy Experimental Diving Unit has a number of functions within the US Navy, including submarine rescue, and state of the art underwater laboratories. Since 1927, they have been advancing both the safety and ability of divers around the world.With this in mind, the watch designed to perform under pressure in any environment with faultless accuracy. Inside the watch is the RR1042-C Chronometer specification Swiss Automatic Chronograph movement, COSC certified, with day, date, hours, minutes and seconds, with a 12 hour chronograph. This is displayed on a deep blue dial with red detailing, and 21 gas tubes on the hands and markers, that do not require recharging, and provide incredible low light visibility. The case protecting the movement is a marvel, featuring a patented helium release valve built into the crown, protecting the watch from damage during saturation diving, and allowing the watch to have a static water resistance of 600 metres.The chronograph pushers allow operation of the chronograph while underwater. The case itself is Titanium, lightweight and hypoallergenic, with a ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel, with luminous material for low light visibility and easily visible elapsed time underwater. The dial is protected with a 3.7mm thick sapphire crystal, coated with anti reflective material, to make sure the watch is visible in any light, The case is fitted on a titanium and stainless steel bracelet, with a folding buckle featuring an easy extension to adjust for fitting over a wetsuit.
