Description
The Maxxis Rekon is an aggressive trail tyre that gives you ultimate grip and control, making it ideal for all types of cross country and trail riding. Wide centre knobs provide excellent braking traction while L shaped side knobs provide a confidence inspiring cornering feel, even in loose terrain. Tubeless Ready: Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting as there's no tube to pinch. EXO: An extremely slit and abrasion resistant material added to the sidewall. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible ensuring that the performance of the tyre is unaffected. EXO protection is great for exceptionally rocky trails when the chances of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high. Wide Trail: Wide Trail construction optimises the tyre tread layout and profile for modern wider rims (optimal range 30-35mm). 3C MaxxTerra: An intermediate compound configuration that's softer with more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet with better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
