Loaded Longboard - Truncated Tesseract

Loaded boards are proud to now offer the Truncated no-kick variation of the Tesseract. Inspired by Loaded ambassadors DIY deck-chopping experiments, the Truncated Tesseract is a pared-down platform for canyon-carving and downhill-racing geeks.The Truncated Tesseract has gone through autonomy, dropping appendages in favour of a more traditional and race-driven shape while retaining all the performance-driven ergonomics and construction of its precursor. The board retains maximum width all the way back to the bolts for high cornering leverage and security during slides. The nose tapers gently to more effectively accommodate the front foot in a forward-facing speed tuck and is unobtrusive while drafting and riding in tight packs.To see this new board carving some shapes, watch the new video Denizens of the Petrified Dunes to the left!Setup Recommendations:The 3.5 wedging angle of these boards allows for a wide range of interesting hardware configurations. We find that a truck with a lower kingpin angle (below 45) works synergistically with the wedging angle to provide a versatile balance of lean and turn with a low ride height. A truck with a higher kingpin angle (above 45) works best with a soft 3-4 wedged riser to simultaneously preserve the steering geometry and damp vibrations.Their powerful pop and lightweight construction pair best with a light and small wheel for freestyle and technical freeride enthusiasts. We ride Orangatang Fat Free (65mm) or Keanu (66mm) to keep the ollies high and swing weight low. Scale up to a mid- to high-diameter wheel such as Orangatang Kilmer (69mm), Stimulus (70mm), Moronga (72.5mm), Cage (73mm), or Durian (75mm) for higher roll speed, smoother performance on rough pavement, and increased longevity.For downhill applications, both boards can accommodate up to an 80mm race wheel (such as the Orangatang Kegel).
