The LockBlock Knife block set from Joseph Joseph is an innovative design that allows knives to be safely stored on a kitchen work top without worrying about children getting their little hands too close to the sharp blades. Each knife has its own slot and an internal childproof mechanism means that only adult sized hands can remove the knife from the block due to the position and force required to press it. This mechanism has a smooth rubber surface so your knives will not be damaged no matter how hard they are pulled. The sleek black block has been stylishly designed to look smart in any kitchen and a colour ring on each knife ensures you select the appropriate knife each time and replace it in the coordinating slot. The knife block comes with six Japanese 420J2 stainless steel knives including: a paring knife, serrated knife, santoku (general-purpose) knife, chef’s knife, bread knife and a carving knife.
