Description
John Lewis & Partners + It's All Good Folk Wear it out A collaboration available exclusively at John Lewis & Partners, It's All Good Folk celebrates a shared commitment to inspiring design, responsibly produced. This is fashion made to last. A midweight, relaxed piece we'll be wearing come autumn time, we think you'll agree the designer's over at It's All Good Folk really know how to create pieces that are made to last, both aesthetically and environmentally. Spun with an understated twill texture, the brushed cotton handle offers much more than just a soft handle next to the skin. The discreet pattern reveals fewer dirt stains and marks than regular, sheer fabric, and its construction naturally leads it to being much more sturdy than your average shirt or flannel. Truly a considered design that channels the brand's 'made to last' ethos. And who could ignore its rustic-inspired print? Originally designed in-house and revisited with new colours and scales over the years, the modern check motif was originally used on shirts, jackets and jersey. Re-visited in a new colour palette exclusively for our capsule collection, its re-imagining is a contemporary twist in a sea of otherwise uninspiring lumberjack flannels that can be found elsewhere on the high street. Punctuated with natural corozo nut buttons through the front and cuffs that have been responsibly sourced (because even in the details, production ethics still mean something), wear alone with neutral tones and patterns; you wouldn't want anyone complementing any part of your outfit other than the shirt. The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to ‘make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector's future. BCI works with partners around the world such as WWF, Solidaridad and Cotton Connect to train farmers to produce cotton more sustainably. By buying cotton products from John Lewis & Partners, you're supporting the training of these farmers to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce the use of the most harmful chemicals and apply principles of fair and decent work.
