Designed with almost two pounds of recycled materials, this Smart Ocean Office Chair from Humanscale marks an impressive sustainable step forward. Thanks to a collaboration with Bureo, this chair is the result of responsible manufacturing. Bureo collect and recycle fishing nets found in the ocean at their end of life and transforms them into new materials. Environmental Story The fishing nets collected and recycled by Bureo were transformed into plastic pellets and incorporated into the composition of this chair. Its simple, modular frame is made of 100% recycled aluminium, and its lightweight design minimises the environmental impact of its shipping. Ergonomic Comfort This chair provides tailored, ergonomic comfort for each user with minimal adjustments. Its non-stretch, mesh backrest has a three-panel design with form-sensing technology that moulds to each user's body to provide responsive lumbar support. The backrest is also weight-sensitive and designed without a back lock to encourage movement throughout the working day. Its self-locking recline mechanism will automatically react and adjust to the body weight of each user. This model is contract standard. Fully Adjustable Given the sustainable manufacturing, this chair does not compromise on quality or performance. Its contoured seat cushion is designed with a waterfall edge that reduces pressure points and ensures equal weight distribution across the seat pad. This helps your spine to stay aligned so you maintain a good posture while sitting comfortably. The seat height is not only adjustable vertically but the pad moves forward and back so that you can fully adjust the position based on your work space. Want to see it first?
