Birds were imbued with a rich Christian symbolism in the middle ages with different birds reflecting different meanings: the pelican symbolised Christ"s sacrifice the wren stood for the Holy Spirit and goldfinches recall Christ"s Passion.Printed "Season"s Greetings".8 ½" x 4".
