Museum Selection Grey Crooksbury Table
Description
Beautifully crafted table echoing the style of garden furniture designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869–1944). This bench has a grey oil finish, which is absorbed into the timber for a more natural finish. Wood is a natural product, so is sensitive to the environment it is kept in. Because of this, almost every piece of wood furniture will endure some expansion and contraction as seasons and humidity levels change. In very dry months, cracks can easily develop to the thickness of a thumbnail, for example. These spaces are to be expected and will usually close up as the season changes and moisture returns to the air. These small gaps and cracks do not affect the structural integrity of the product.
