The Gitzo GT3542 Mountaineer Series 3 Carbon eXact Tripod is recommended for photographers who own large professional digital SLRs with heavy telephoto lenses (up to a maximum of 400mm) attached. The Gitzo GT3542 will take a staggering 21,000g in weight and extend to a maximum height of 162cm (with centre column extended), retract to a minimum height of 15cm and close down to a portable size of 54cm. The Gitzo GT3542 is a 4 leg section tripod with new design and Carbon eXact tubes, making it lighter in weight yet more rigid than its predecessor. There is no head included with this tripod.
