Georg Jensen Christmas Star 2019 Tree Decoration with Chain

Suspended from a fine chain, this Georg Jensen Christmas star ornament mixes a traditional symbol with contemporary detailing. The decoration has bold, graphic Art Deco-inspired markings giving it a modern appeal, but as the star is a timeless festive motif the ornament works in both contemporary and traditional settings. Crafted in one of Georg Jensen's workshops in Denmark and made from 18 karat gold-plated brass it will reflect Christmas tree lights or candlelight. Designed by Danish designer Sanne Lund Traberg whose motivation for this year's collectables was to take Cubist and Art Deco influences, apply them to basic shapes and create decorations that can be used year after year.
