Description
The British Museum Elegant Christmas cards reproducing penandink drawings from the collection of the British Museum, complete with goldfoil details to the frames. The drawings capture tender scenes of the Holy Family: ‘The Holy Family with infant John the Baptist’, a study for a print, c.1617, by Flemish master Peter Paul Rubens (1577–1640), and an image of the ‘Seated Virgin and Child’, c.1465–1523, by an Umbrian artist, circle of Pietro Perugino.
