Striking design based on a brooch by Georges Fouquet (1862–1957). Fouquet joined his father in the family business in 1891 and opened a new Bijouterie Fouquet in 1900 at 6 rue Royale in Paris with the help of Alphonse Mucha. In 1900 Fouquet also showed his jewellery at the Exposition Universelle in Paris. He designed jewels for French actresses such as Sarah Bernhardt in a strongly fluid style.Silver with gold­plated details brushed finish.3" long.Clean with a soft cloth.Gift boxed.
