Beautiful very large lamp stand made from what looks to be oak wood. The stand has been hand made with the grooves in the main column hand carved & the base & legs hand turned. A truly lovely piece which would really light of a room beautifully. A room with a high ceiling would really suit this tall stand. There are three legs on the base of the lamp which connect onto the middle stem of the lamp stand. The three legs are a vintage French country house design. Lovely & solid. Bulb & lampshade are not part of the listing - the wire rest is included which you can use for a vintage shade or leave off to use a normal lampshade. The size of the cream lampshade in the pictures is 46cm at the bottom. I would go for a 60cm shade as I think the lamp can definitely take this size. Has been Pat tested on the 16.05.2014 -works fine & light goes on & off without any problems. Delivery is with a man in a van service to ensure that the lamp arrives undamaged & in the condition it left in. There will be no wasteful packaging which is kinder to environment.
