A solid Oak bench probably found in the chorister area of the church. The three seats are separated by ornate carved arms & dividers, all in oak. I have no idea what the three labels mean! Originally this seat would have been abutting a wall but I have added an end on the right hand side, taken from another pew from the same church, to make free standing triple chair unit. You can see the this 'new' end is slightly shallower than the opposing carved end. Ideally this would sit with the back up against a wall & as you can see the left hand end panel is heavily carved where ton the other side a plain flat heavy oak panel. Overall Length - 180cm Over all, front to back Depth - 55cm Seat Height - 46cm Seat Depth - 36cm Seat Width - varies between 51-53cm Overall Height at the back - 112cm Collection from Henley-on-Thames ideal.
