Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam Christmas cards reproducing an ebullient scene of 17th century work and play by Dutch master Hendrick Avercamp (15851634). Painted c.1608, ‘Winter Landscape with Skaters’ is full of dynamic, jovial and occasionally riotous details; including sleighs, ice hockey, skating, dancing, ice fishing and an unlucky man falling into the water. Now part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Reproduced at a large scale to enjoy the witty, characterful details of 17th century life.
