Description
Originally handknitted by Fair Isle women and traded with passing ships, the style of Fair Isle knits became fashionable when the Prince of Wales (later to become Edward VIII) wore the knits in public in 1921 which resulted in many patterns being created for home knitters across Britain. Made by Harley of Scotland est 1929. Length 24". Handwash. Remove excess water. Lay flat to dry. Ease gently in to shape whilst damp.
