Reflecting the historical legacy of Cire Trudon, the candles reference the country’s Grand Siècle or great century: Trianon, Solis Rex and La Marquise. Cyclamen, rose and musk feature in Trianon, a reflection of Marie Antoinette’s oasis of calm away from Versailles. Solis Rex, Louis XIV’s personal moniker, refers to the stunning parquetry in the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles with the woody scents of eucalyptus, bark and cedarwood. Citrus notes of verbena, lemon and rose are infused in La Marquise, paying homage to Madame de Pompadour, the favourite of Louis XV. Each 100g candle is contained within a green hand-crafted glass vessel adorned with Cire Trudon’s iconic gold bas relief crest and is presented in a stunning gift box.
