Save when you buy the Christmas Trellis Gift Wrap & Tags set 10 tags reproducing traditional Christmas birds from watercolours by popular, English 20thcentury illustrators Audrey Tarrant (fl. 1950s80s) and Molly Brett (19021990). These two separate designs feature a blue tit and a robin with a festive border. Robins became associated with Christmas during the Victorian era when the first Christmas cards were sent. The Royal Mail postmen who delivered these letters wore bright red uniforms and earned the nicknames ‘robin’ and ‘redbreast,’ so artists began illustrating Christmas cards with little robins delivering the letters instead of postmen.
