Description
Designed to define: the ideal tool for highlighting, contouring, and blending. Barely's Definer Sponges were created by industry make-up professionals incorporating sharp lines for contours and guiding as well as round edges for blotting and blending. Barely's sponges have also been clinically tested and absorb less than 2% of the foundation added to them. The Barely Definer Sponge is a premium multi-function product which make-up users can easily add to their kit safe in the knowledge that these all-in-one products cut makeup application time in half by replacing the need for a range of brushes. When used correctly, Barely Definer Sponge Hard can be used for the application of foundation, powder, blusher, bronzer and concealer. It can also be used for contouring, highlighting, stippling as well as a guide for flicked liner, a smudger for lower liner and because of its design it's ideal for that last minute touch ups to create sharp defined finishes to your make up. Material: PU. How do Barely's Definer Sponges work? - Concealer can be applied with either the flat side for under the eye area. In this case, apply in a bouncing motion to encourage blood flow and boost circulation promoting radiance and reducing dark circles or if the concealer is being used to cover blemishes, Barely would recommended using the pointed side and using a pressing motion. - Contouring is achieved with the flat side of the sponge by applying liquid or cream shade onto the hollows of the cheeks, in upward strokes, then using a bouncing/ tapping motion to blend out any visible lines. - Highlighting is achieved using the flat side of the sponge by applying either highlighter or a light foundation that is 2 shades lighter than your normal colour. Draw a line straight across the centre of the forehead, a line from the centre of under the eyes to the temples, on the cupids bow, down the centre of the nose and on the indent of your chin, then turn the sponge to the pointed side and blend out using a tapping/bouncing motion. - Eyeshadow: To create a winged eyeshadow look it couldn't be easier. Start by taking a large eyeshadow brush and applying your lightest colour all over the lid, then place the flat side of the Definer Hard sponge on the outer corner of the eye at a 45 degree angle. Take a small eyeshadow brush or pencil brush start at the lash line and draw a line of eyeshadow upwards leaning against the sponge to create a sharp angle. Once you reach the crease, start to follow it in to create a slight V shape on the outer corner of the eye, you only need to come in about 1/3. Remove the sponge to reveal a sharp angled winged eyeshadow. To finish the look take a medium shade eyeshadow colour and add to the outer 2/3 of the eye. Don't forget to finish the look off by blending it altogether. - Eyeliner: The flat edge on the sponge provides the ideal guide when applying eyeliner. Set the sponge against the other eye at a 45 degree angle and draw on your eyeliner in an upward motion, remove the sponge to reveal a sharp flicked line.
