The ATR6550x Condenser Shotgun Microphone from Audio-Technica is designed to offer a crisp and clear pickup from both close and far away. This budget-friendly mic features a convenient switch that lets you easily shift between ""Far"" and ""Wide"" settings. In the ""Wide"" setting, this microphone works as a standard cardioid condenser and focuses pickup on your preferred sound source. While the ""Far"" setting causes the polar pattern to narrow to super cardioid, allowing you to pick up sounds from far away while ignoring ambient noise including mechanically coupled vibrations, air-handling systems, traffic, and room reverberation. This microphone is supplied with a permanently attached 3.5mm connector plug/cable and several useful accessories including a stand clamp to piggyback on another stand (or any other object), a camera mount for attaching it to any camera, a foam windscreen for use in a windy environment, and a battery for added functionality.
