The majority of the trousers are made with Assos' windproof and water-repellent RX EVO+ material. The fleecy inner locks in warmth but its exceptional breathability also prevents you from getting sweaty and clammy when you have to pedal hard. In areas vulnerable to water and muddy spray from the trail, Assos deploy NEOS Mild, their 3-layer softshell fabric. This utilises a PU membrane to keep out wind and water from around the seat panels and lower inner leg, preventing discomfort from a soggy behind and soggy legs. This mudBarrier system also boosts durability when conditions get particularly abrasive. You'll also see some key design elements carried across from the Assos Cargo Shorts. The AZPtech (abdomZeroPressure) waist construction is one such feature. This wraps the waist smoothly and comfortably, allowing easy movement and yet offers a firm hold.
