Engaging details, adapted from title page illustrations by Arthur Rackham (18671939). From a 1915 edition of ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens, now in the collection of the British Library and a c.1931 edition of ‘The Night Before Christmas’, illustrating the popular poem by Clement Clarke Moore (17791863) which was first published as ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas’ in 1823.
