.This impressive artwork displays a framed, hand-stitched, pleated Miao style skirt in yarn-dyed fabric. The colours and designs may vary in this limited edition piece as each one is unique. Miao skirts are traditional costumes that have been handed down from generation to generation. In making their own costumes, young Miao girls do everything themselves – weaving, choosing the patterns and embroidering the floral panel and waistband by hand. It’s a process that can generally take 1-2 years.
