Description
What's an induction hob? Induction hobs heat the pan not the hob using an electrical current. Induction hobs can heat a pan faster than a traditional gas or electric hob, and are more energy efficient. They're also easier to clean, as you can wipe the hob shortly after using it. Remember, not all ceramic hobs are induction hobs. An induction hob can only be used with induction compatible pans. You can use induction kettles (which are faster to boil than normal kettles) with induction hobs. The fine degree of control over the power of the hob is also good for tasks like melting chocolate or making a sauce. This AEG induction hob is a safe, easy to use alternative to gas or traditional electric hobs. With MaxiSense hob zones that automatically detect and match the shape of your pan, and FlexiBridge cooking segments to create just the right cooking area. Intuitive and easy to use controls - just turn the hob on, place a pan down, and the LED slider control lights up and is ready to use. Cooking time is easily managed too, with an adjustable timer and minute minder. Use the PowerSlide feature to quickly move a pan from boiling to simmer. When you need some extra heat, use the power Booster function to get to a higher cooking temperature quickly. Once your meal is finished, the flat ceramic surface is easy to wipe clean, and it's scratch resistant. Please note: there should be a minimum height clearance of 65cm between an electric hob and the cooker hood above it.
