The British Library Recalling John Keats’ (17951821) beloved poem ‘To Autumn’, 1819, as the atmospheric ‘Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’. Evocative cards reproducing seasonal details from books and printed ephemera in the collection of the British Library. Includes a miniature of Harvest from a 16th century Book of Hours; an illustration of apple picking by Jessie Willcox Smith, 1915; a fashion plate from "The Queen", 1914; a mossy tree from plates by Gherardo Cibo, c.15641584; and studies of pears and hazelnuts from George Brookshaw’s ‘Pomona Britannica’, 1812.
