Description
The British Library Reproducing exquisite details of roses, pimpernel and exotic flowers from botanical miniatures created for the Dara Shikoh album, c.163040, now in the collection of the British Library. Painted by, largely unknown, Mughal court artists the album, which mixed painting with calligraphy, was collected by Dara Shikoh (161559), the eldest son of the Emperor Shah Jahan and later presented to his wife.
