Description
Reproducing evocative watercolours by Eric Ravilious (1903­42). Includes "Chalk Paths", 1935 and a view of haystacks in the field beside Furlongs, the Sussex home of his friend and fellow­artist Peggy Angus. The South Downs, in particular, were a favourite subject for Ravilious; he visited Furlongs regularly and painted the rolling Chalkland landscapes throughout the 1930s. Also includes a view of the "River Thames at Hammersmith", c.1932; Ravilious lived in Hammersmith in 1930­32. 6 of 3 designs, blank. 6" x 5". Produced exclusively for Museum Selection.
