Description
Reproducing illuminated miniatures depicting scenes from the Acts of the Apostles from the Biblia Pauperum created c.1405, attributed to The Master of the Hours of Margaret of Cleves. The cards celebrate the Feast of the Ascension, when Jesus"s humanity is taken into Heaven, 40 days after Easter (25th May 2017); and Whitsun (Pentecost), which is celebrated 50 days after Easter (4th June 2017), when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and followers of Jesus, usually depicted in the form of a dove.
